Once your SEESAFER® PROTECTIVE SHIELD" is in place, just ignore it, it will do the job for you, if you're lined it up correctly at your own comfortably eye-level, then there should not be any problems, however you have to bear in mind, like anything new or something were not accustomed too, you have to give it a bit of time before you become used to it, it may seem a little strange at first having something just out side of your line of vision, but once you're used to it will pay dividends in it's benefits to you, you will begin to take it for granted that you're no longer having to squint, turn your head away or being blinded by glaring headlights.
Trim it down a bit-We basically sell THE SEESAFER® PROTECTIVE SHIELD" sized at 4" x 8" so that there is enough length to fit vehicles with large windscreens such as 4 x 4's. However we has noticed that for the average size vehicle’s windscreen a 6" length of THE SEESAFER® PROTECTIVE SHIELD" may feel more at ease for the user, so if you notice that that is the case for you, simply get some scissors and trim it down a little.
When a vehicle tailgates another or comes to a halt at a junction or traffic lights, the powerful beam from the headlights can temporally blind the recipient driver via the reflection from there own side-view mirrors, particularly in the hours of darkness and with the recent introduction of the new high powered xenon headlights and that of the widespread menace of illegally hybrid high wattage halogen light bulbs that are now flooding the worldwide market, night driving is becoming more uncomfortable and even dangerous in many cases.
Rear View Mirrors-Many but not all interior rear-view mirrors have a anti-glare knob, that when pushed down, it puts the mirror at a slight oblique angle, thus allowing you to see a darkened reflection as opposed to it's normal clear mirror image, however the problem with this, at night, especially on country lanes, unlit motorways and duel carriageways, to be able see anything becomes virtually nil in vision, apart from this problem it is also very dangerous as many drivers often forget they still have there rear-view mirror on it's anti-glare setting, so even though their now in a well lit area and there is no need to have the mirror in it's anti-glare position, they unfortunately still have, and it is normally times such as these when accidents are most likely to happen, just when a driver needs to see how close the car is behind them because they need to suddenly brake, Bang! it's to late.
The Seesafer Protective Shield can also be used to help reduce the full-beam glare from vehicles headlights that presently bounces off and reflects back through via the motor cars side-view and rear view mirrors, this problem often arises at night time and once a vehicle appears from behind you and decides to have their headlights on full beam, specifically tailgaters and when you come to a halt at a junction or traffic lights, the powerful beam from the headlights can temporally blind the recipient driver via the reflection from there own side-view mirrors, particularly in the hours of darkness and with the recent introduction of the new high powered xenon headlights and that of the widespread menace of illegally hybrid high wattage halogen light bulbs that are now flooding the worldwide market, night driving is becoming more uncomfortable and even dangerous in many cases. Because most vehicles have different shaped wing and rear-view mirrors, it would be difficult to make a 'Protective Shield' to cover all ranges, however:-
